Intimate Israeli wedding in Prague | Izraelská svatba v Praze - Marianna a Igal

Marianna and Igal are a young couple from Israel who couldn’t get married in their homeland due to religious reasons. I got to know they’d had three countries, where they could get legally married, to choose from and that they’d picked Prague. I had never photographed an Israeli couple and not even got the chance to meet them before the wedding so, early in the morning, I arrived to the Grandior hotel in the center of Prague, where they were getting ready.

Luxurious Chinese wedding at Chateau St. Havel in Prague | Luxusní čínská svatba na Chateau St.Havel v Praze

The moment I arrived at this wedding I knew it was going to be different. People bustling around, preparing something, everything was somehow more lavish. The Frezia Fleur girls created an incredibly beautiful and colorful décor. Skillful pastry chefs from Top Cake Studio hand painted and decorated maybe the biggest wedding cake I had ever seen. Right next to the ceremonial spot there stood a “fountain” of Versace glasses the price of which I shouldn’t have got to know, because since then I almost just tiptoed around it.

Vrtba Garden & Palace Žofín Prague wedding | Svatba ve Vrtbovské zahradě a na Žofíně - Betty & Thomas

There is a truly touching story and a very strong lady hidden behind this wedding. Betty had been expecting a baby and looking forward to her wedding when she got to know she had cancer.
She led a long fight with the disease and won. At that time, the most popular Norwegian wedding magazine, Ditt Bryllup, in cooperation with Bryllups Byraaet, a Norwegian wedding agency, announced a competition with the first prize being a complete wedding in Prague.
